The Quest of the Ringbearer supplement provides a variety of ways to enjoy Middle-Earth - from playing scenarios from the books and movies to Legendary Legions in Matched Play games. We'll be doing a variety of things from this supplement here at TMAT, so watch this space to stay informed!

• Recommended House Rules By Scenario:
• Buckleberry Ferry: The Ringwraiths all have horses (hard mode: The Ringwraiths have horses and 1M/7W/1F)
• Fog on the Barrow-Downs: None - it's a great scenario!
• Attack on Weathertop: the scenario works fine if you're using the listed participants, but the wraiths are just not that dangerous in Fantasy Fellowships without Might/Fate (hard mode: the Ringwraiths have 1M/7W/1F each, while the Witch-King has 2M/10W/2F in addition to his Morgul Blade)
• Wargs in the Night: The Wild Warg Chieftain should be able to come back (maybe on a 4+) - he dies far to quickly and frankly isn't incentivized to fight until the heroes are spent!
• Balin's Tomb: None - it's a great scenario!
• Escape From Dwarrowdelf: There should be additional rules for helping friendly models jump over the chasms - otherwise, the scenario's great. Here are the recommended changes:
• "Merry, Pippin - AHHHH!": Any model, before rolling for his leap test, may "carry" another friendly model who is in base contact and has a lower Strength as if carried model was a heavy object. Additional friendly models may be carried so long as the combined Strength of the friendly models being carried is not more than the Strength of the carrier.
• "Sam!": When a model attempts to make a leap test to cross the gap, another friendly model in base contact may "toss" the model. The model making the leap test applies +1 to their roll, but the tossing model may not leap over the chasm this turn. 
• "Nobody tosses a Dwarf . . . NOT THE BEARD!": Dwarf models may not benefit from the "Sam!" special rule, but when a Dwarf makes a leap test, another friendly model in base contact with the other side of the chasm can grab the Dwarf by his beard to give a +1 to his roll. The model grabbing the beard may not move further this turn.
• The Bridge of Khazad-Dum: Um . . . not blowing up the bridge should be a draw, not a loss. For Fantasy Fellowships specifically, the casting difficulty for Sorcerous Blast on your Gandalf character if he/she doesn't have Sorcerous Blast should be specified (we've played it as a 5+ because that's Gandalf's casting value). Besides that, it's a great scenario!
• Ambush at Amon Hen: Legolas and Gimli are really far away from everyone - you can work around this, but it's hard for them to do anything unless they have March (or they both shoot well). Recommended change is that they start 12" away from the King's Seat, but on the eastern half of the board.
• Ambush at Night: Similar to our critique of the Riders of Eomer Legendary Legion . . . is there any reason why Eomer shouldn't count as Theoden for the Arise, Riders of Theoden special rule? And where is his shield? Or his throwing spears?
• Warg Attack: It was unclear to us if the dead Warg Riders were supposed to come back or not (the verbiage differs from other scenarios). If they are able to come back, the scenario plays very similarly to Wargs in the Night. If not, it's not that hard if Hama and Gamling can stay alive on the first round. Honestly, I think you could leave this one out if you wanted (or swap it with another Helm's Deep scenario).
• The Deeping Wall is Breached: it's a great scenario - no changes (though thematically, I think the Berserkers are unnecessary and the Warriors of Rohan should be Elves).
• Ride Out: it's a great scenario - no changes necessary, but it would be nice if there was a bonus for your Gimli character blowing the horn as you charge! Also, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli should be added to the Edoras Rest Point after this scenario.
• Eomer's Return: Give that man (Eomer) a shield!
• The Dead Marshes: um . . . Dead Marsh Spectres should treat marshland as open ground . . . they literally live in the stuff . . .
• Osgiliath: No changes - it's a great scenario!
• Shelob's Lair: The board is really big for 4-7 models . . . can't this be played on a 24"x24" board instead?
• Cirith Ungol: No changes - this one is a blast (though would it hurt to give some of the Uruk-Hai two-handed maces?)!
• Atop the Walls: No changes - it's a great scenario!
• Denethor's Madness: No changes - it's an interesting scenario!
• The Charge of the Rohirrim: Deorwine should have a horse - and there probably needs to be more Morannon Orcs - but otherwise it's a great scenario!
• The Docks of Harlond: I don't know why the Warriors of the Dead don't have any war gear, but things would be a lot more interesting if they had shields at least and if there were 12 more Morannon Orcs . . . and maybe an Orc Shaman . . .
• The Plateau of Gorgoroth: I thought this scenario was good - but Sam should have Sting listed in his war gear . . .
• The End of All Things:
