The Scouring of the Shire supplement might be the most independently complete Middle-Earth sourcebook to date - it has a sixteen scenario campaign, two thematic Legendary Legions, and several hobbying tutorials. We'll be doing a variety of things from this supplement here at TMAT, so watch this space to stay informed!

- Recommended House Rules By Scenario:
- Ruffians in Bree: Add Barliman Butterbur to the Bree side and require Barliman or Bill Ferny to die and get 2+ kills for either side to win (game ends when at least one side has been quartered).
- The Ruffians Arrive: this scenario needs a few more Ruffians . . . not sure how many, but the choke point, nearly equal starting number of models, and mass thrown stones is absolutely bonkers.
- Maggot's Farm: the Ruffians need two more models - they're a little understaffed to get four models off the board.
- The Old Mill: the Hobbits need more guys . . . like, a lot more guys.
- The Mayor's Arrest: no changes - great scenario!
- The Death of Lotho: the heroes could be more interesting, but it's a great scenario!
- The Burning of Woody End: great scenario, no changes!
- The Uprooting of Bagshot Row: if there were no bows for either side, I think the game would be better (or give the Hobbits some bows to force Bill Ferny to engage).
- The Arrest of Folco Boffin: my only recommendation is to allow Folco to use his Will points to improve his Paralyze rolls - besides that, this scenario was really good!
- The Old Storehouse: The Ruffians need a few more models (maybe four?) to make up for being sentries at the start and because of the nighttime conditions that boost the Hobbit archery lethality and hinder the range of retaliatory Ruffian archery.
- The Bounders Strike Back: The Ruffians need about four more models (again) to make up for the traps and bows of the Hobbits, as well as needing about half their models to get across. As the ratio of escaping Ruffians to total Ruffians gets closer to one-third, I think it's good.
- Brockenborings: The scenario is good, no recommended changes!
- The Lockholes: not enough Hobbits - there needs to be at least three more!
- Attack on Tuckburough: The Hobbit Archers should all be Tookish Hunters - and the Hobbits might need a few extra guys (even with the campaign bonuses).
- Old Cotton's Farm: the Ruffians are a little short-handed and could use a few more guys.
