Top 4 "Girl Items" for Wargamers!

So a bit of an unconventional post today, but I wanted to highlight four items (I really did try to get the list up to five, guys, but I couldn't think of another one, so if you think of one that I missed, please let me know in the comments below so I can edit and update the post with a shout-out to you, because the number four is just bothering me) that male wargamers generally don't buy (and female wargamers, inasmuch as they do buy them, probably don't use for the hobby) that are actually extremely useful and will help you immensely in the craft/hobby side of the hobby.

All of these are objects that I have either directly used or someone in my gaming group and immediate sphere of influence has used, so I've been able to verify the work, and boy howdy has it changed the way I see the world around me. So with no further ado, here's four items you probably don't use for the hobby that you really should.

Workbench Update: Building the Watcher in the Water

Good morning gamers,

So Christmas was wonderful - got some Galadhrim Warriors from Centaur to paint up, started painting some new Hobbits for the Quest of the Ringbearer missions, and got some flocking and flowers from my kids. Life is great.

One other addition I got was the Watcher in the Water (got a discount from Rythbryt) - and so during naptimes during the past few weeks, I've been slowly putting this guy together. Today I figured I'd show you how it's been coming along!

Hobbit Smials Update

Been a crazy several months for me, but wanted to do a quick Shire Board update, as we finished a few more pieces for it.

ForgeWorld has a hobbit hole (or smial) set out, and my wife was so cool and got it for me for my birthday! The set comes with two windows and two chimneys, but the most interesting thing is the double-sided door/entryway:

So I decided to try my hand at cutting the double-sided entryway into two usable entryways, starting with a guiding line that would miss the inset details on either side, and then shaving down: 

And let me tell you, it was really hard because of how the resin piece is designed, but I made it through! Not super pretty, but it will do the job. And the back will be up against the polystyrene, so who cares what the back looks like, :P

So, with our ForgeWorld pieces ready, it was time to cut some polystyrene!
